Taking Cold Showers Is Healthy!

Taking a 5-10 minute cold shower is an unpopular but effective technique to keep you in shape and feeling good for many years.

Cold showers are known for these benefits:
  1. Cleans the circulatory system.
  2. Brings blood to the capillaries, therefore increasing circulation throughout the body.
  3. Provides flushing for the organs and provides a new supply of blood.
  4. Reduces blood pressure on internal organs.
  5. Contracts the muscles to eliminate toxins and poisonous wastes.
  6. Strengthens the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems.
  7. Strengthens the mucous membranes, which help resist high fever, allergies, colds, coughs.

These benefits lead to a lot more like fat loss, healthy hair, more energy etc. Just 10 minutes of cold water... its that easy. But of course be careful, don't jump right under the water cause its not going to be pleasant and it might just draw you away from the procedure. Instead do it step by step, or in this case limp by limp!

Of course. In order to build muscles you need a good supply of nutrients.
Nutrients get to the place they are needed trough blood, the fact that cold showers cleans the the circulatory system and increases the circulation throughout the body is enough to make us certain that it has a positive effect on muscle building. There is just one thing to remember, don't take cold showers right after the workout! It could have a deadly effect (stroke).

I have been taking cold showers since 2007 and along with nasal irrigation has helped my asthma and my allergies. It also has weaned me of medication for it. I've been off since January 22, 2008 and have no need for it, nor have I been to a pharmacy at all since 12-31-07. This is what healing is supposed to be for the body. It detoxifies and it helps me sleep better. I go to bed around 9pm and am up around 5am ready to get into taking the cold shower. I have noticed in my body that I lost weight and it is very toned, which is good because the cold shower is a tonic for my body. I also get a massage from it which leads to my stress-free life.

This sounds very interesting but would like the science proof behind the claims. What works for one person doesn't always work for another. The claim "detoxing the internal organs" has me asking the question: How can cold water on the outside of the body effect internal organs?

There isn't much need of scientific proof. Most of the claims are common sense and are due to the increase of blood circulation. The blood normally brings nutrients and oxygen to the organs and flushes toxins away, therefore, an increase in fresh blood supply will lead to detoxification. You should also add the effect of an increased muscle contraction, which also detoxifies, and you will see that it is very natural that cold showers can detox your internal organs.

The reason you might be skeptical is, because you are probably imagining some kind of a full detoxification process. That is not nearly the scale in which cold showers will work, however, it is a step in the right direction. And once all the little steps add up, you will get the results you are looking for.

Well thats up to you. Use as cold as it feels comfortable and you can gradually make it colder with time. The colder the better
