Memory increase :8 laws of memory

I promised memory increase tips and as always i will serve my word.In order to make a super power memory you first have to understand how it works.And im not speaking about physical activities of the brain,knowing that doesnt change much.So i will begin with the 8 laws of how memory operates:

1. The Law Of Comprehension.
Simple, but yet the most important. According to the German writer Georg Lichtenberg,people poorly remember what they read because "they do too little thinking". The more deeply you grasp what you memorize, the more easily and the more in detail it will remain in your memory.

2. The Law Of Interest.
"For knowledge to be digested, it must be absorbed with relish," wrote Anatole France. The
interesting is remembered easily as you dont not have to make special efforts,you just memorize it spontaneously .

3. The Law Of Previous Knowledge.
The more you knows on a certain subject, the more easily you memorises everything new pertaining to it. Everyone must have noticed that when you open a book read long ago, you read it as if you had never read it before. This means that when you read it for the first time you lacked the relevant experience and information but by this time you have accumulated them. Thus reading forms connections between the accumulated and the new knowledge. This is the result of memorisation.

4. The Law Of Readiness For Memorisation.
The reader derives the information he sets out to derive from the text. The same goes for the duration of memorisation. When you want to remember something for long, you will remember it in any case better than when you wants to remember something for a brief while.

5. The Law Of Associations.
This was formulated back in the 4th century B.C. by Aristotle. The concepts which arose
simultaneously summon each other up from the memory bank by association. For instance, the
atmosphere of a room evokes recollections about events which took place in it (or recollection of what you read staying in it, and this is exactly what you need).

6. The Law Of Sequences.
The alphabet is easy to recite in its regular order and difficult in the reverse order. The conceptions learned in a certain sequence, when recalled, summon each other up in the same sequence.

7. The Law Of Strong Impressions.
The stronger the first impression of what is being memorised, the brighter the image. The greater the number of information channels, the more strongly the information is retained. Hence, the task is to achieve the strongest possible initial impression of the material subject.

8. The Law Of Inhibition.
Any subsequent memorisation inhibits the previous. The learned portion of information must "settle" before the next is taken up. The best way to forget newly memorised material is by trying to memorise something similar directly afterwards. This is why school children are advised not to learn physics after mathematics and literature after history and to learn poetry before going to bed.

These are the 8 laws of memory.I bet you actually knew them never even thinking about it,but its good to really know exactly what things like associations happen.Read them understand them and...dont forget them ;).Soon we will go to the tips part.

Many people go to the gym and start working out hard before the much important warm up.There is a reason why many fitness gurus say:"warm up is 1/2 of your training".During physical activity several changes take place in the body.Your respiratory rate, blood flow, and oxygen and nutrient levels delivered to the cells increases.Its of key importance that you regulate this increase in a steady pace to prepare the body for the physical stress that exercise will demand.If you dont do it your workout will have lesser results.

Warming up also preps up the nervous system, heightens mental awareness and alertness, and loosens up joints and muscles to make them less prone to injuries,gives the heart a suitable period to adjust and pump up blood and nutrients into muscles.

This is a specially vital for older people since they have weaker hearts ,joints with less fluid and tissues that are less supple.Not warming up could lead to heart attack!
How should i warm up?

It can be done in any procedure that enables the heart to beat faster. One can simply walk and jog, or if a cardiovascular equipment is available, such as rowing machine or a bicycle, it can be utilized.Start slowly,than increase the pace until heart beat rate increases and the body temperature rises.Its important that your warm up leaves you in a energized state of body and mind.Remember energized not exhausted.

If you are about to lift weights here is what you have to do:

Use about 50-60% of the weights you make your session with and perform the number of repetitions that will be done for the heavy sets.The next set increase the weight to 80% and decrease the amount of repetitions with 2-3.After that rest 30 sec. and do it again.Than you will be ready for the heavy work out.

If you are about the do sports that dont include weight lifting you have to do some stretching.
Stretch the spine no matter the sport, next stretch the muscles involved for at least 8 sec for the major groups .

If you will engage martial arts a light sparring can be done in the quarter of the normal speed, or just simply do the movements in slow motion.

Warming up is important not only to avoid injuries, stress,the chance of having a heart attack
but also for better quality of work out and higher results during competitive sports.

Vitamin A also helps to fight illness and infections by by helping tissues that line various parts of the body, including the eyes, mouth, nose, throat and lungs, to grow and also to repair them if they are damaged to prevent infection. Children also need plenty of vitamin A to help their bones and teeth to develop properly.

First of all what is metabolism?

Metabolism is the sum of the physical and chemical changes that take place in living organisms. These changes include both synthesis (anabolism) and breakdown (catabolism) of body constituents. The faster your metabolic rate(the time the process takes place) the less fats on your body.
How can i boost my metabolic rate?

There are several factors that affect your metabolism like amount of muscle tissue,physical activity ,stress,frequency of meals,genetics .

Here are 12 tips to boost your metabolism:

1. Build up on lean, mean body mass. It is only natural that metabolism decreases along with age, but it is possible to counter the effects. The amount of muscle a person has is a very strong determinant in the ability to burn calories and shed fat. So it goes without saying that exercise is essential. Build strength and resistance by working out at least twice a week, preferably with weights. Do easy exercises in between workouts. Simple tasks such as walking the dog and using the stairs in place of the elevator can already take off calories. The key is to match the amount of eating to the amount of activity one has. Here are some guidelines in getting the right exercise:
For strength training

-Increase the amount of repetitions of a particular exercise.
-Add the level of resistance

For cardio training
-Insert intervals between exercises
-Perform cross-training and combine the exercises
-Add up on resistance and speed

2. Eat breakfast. A lot of people are ignoring the fact that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Surprisingly, the ones who eat breakfast are thinner than the ones who do not. Metabolism can slow down considerably if breakfast is taken during mid-morning or if one waits until the afternoon to eat.

3. Avoid sugar. Sugar enables the body to store fat. It is recommended that a person consumes food that helps sustain an even level of blood-sugar. Additionally, progressive exercise 2-3 times a week should be in order to stabilize blood sugar.

4. Eat spicy foods. Hot cuisine with peppers can increase metabolism.
5. Sleep more. According to research, it is riskier for people who do not get enough sleep to gain weight. Also, muscles are regenerated during the last couple of hours of slumber.

7. Eat smaller meals. It is advisable to consume 4 to 6 small meals that are timed 2 to 3 hours apart.

8. Never skip meals. People tend to skip meals in order to lose weight, which is a big mistake since it slows down metabolism.

9. Plan meals in detail. Always prepare the right amount of food to be consumed at the designated intervals. Do not commit the mistake of eating meals in sporadic patterns

10. Ditch the stress! Stress, be it physical or emotional, triggers the release of a steroid called cortisol, which decreases metabolism. Also, people tend to eat excessively when stressed.

11.Guzzle up on green tea. It can be used as a substitute for coffee. Tea has the ability to stimulate metabolism, and unlike coffee, it has no undesirable side effects when too much is consumed.

Motivation:Setting Goals

I have already told you that you have to set realistic goals in order to achieve progress. But that doesnt count only for fitness and weight loss. Every successful person knows the secret of setting goals. No matter the field.Athletes, businessman even nation leaders in the start of the campaign set goals.

Setting clearly defined short term and long term goals will enable you to measure your progress and achieve personal satisfaction once you have successfully met your goals. Charting your progress will also enable you to actually see the stages of completion leading to the actual realization of your goals. This eliminates the feeling of a long and pointless grind towards achieving your goal. Your self-confidence and level of competence will also improve as you will be more aware of your capabilities as you complete or achieve your goals.

I will do it!!! Someday...

If someone tells you that than he is a loser. Someday will never come.Just dont count on him to help you or god safe be your business partner.Take your life in hands dont leave it to the someday flow. The time has came for you to stand up and decide what and when do you want to happen with your life! Set one major goal and than break it up in step by step goals that will lead you to the ultimate one. Always remember that the only way to eat a elephant is bite by bite you cant eat it in one time... the same is with goals if you dont break it to achievable goals and try to hit the major goal with one shot it may just ruin you. You may take a hit you are not ready to get up after. So once you have broken the major goal in pieces right it down and start to tackle with them.

A good way to have a manageable list is to have a daily and weekly set of goals. By doing this you will be always in the position of going towards you life plan goals. Everyday will give you the opportunity to fulfill a certain goal giving you the feeling of accomplishment.

Its very often that I come across people who say they desire something. They really work for it and work for it good but in the finishing moment, when they are in front of the victory, the time for the kill has came and they just fail. They simply fail... not because they did not have the skills but it was like something in the smallest corner of their brain was keeping them away from success. Im sorry to say that one of those people was me. Its like the angel and the devil on your shoulder. In the key moment the devil makes you hesitate, makes you wonder is that what you really want? What if you fail in the last minute? What will people think about you? And you start to lose your confidence and with that your chances.

So its very important that you ask yourself if any part of you or your mind holding you back towards completing your simplest goals? If there are any part of your behavior that is being a
hindrance or puts your plans into disarray? If you do have problems in these areas then the immediate thing to do is to address this problem. Solutions may include a visit to a doctor or psychiatrist to control your emotions.

Another key moment in achieving goals is time management (soon I plan on making a post about it cause its really important) for now i want you to get to know the Pareto Principle:

The Pareto Principle also known as the '80:20 Rule' states that 80% of efforts that are not time managed or unfocused generates only 20% of the desired output. However, 80% of the desired output can be generated using only 20% of a well time managed effort. Although the ratio '80:20' is only arbitrary, it is used to put emphasis on how much is lost or how much can be gained with time management.

Setting goals can turn your life around. It can be used in every field and is a method famous for its great results.

Smoking...Do you really need it?

Most fo you would probably answer "No!!!" right?

Well why don't you quit?!

Because I can't!

  3. Write down the reasons why you smoke and the reasons why you are giving up – put this on the wall in a prominent area!
  4. Get rid of any reminders about your smoking – cigarettes, matches, lighters, ash trays etc.!
  5. Get freshened up – stale smoke smells – wash yourself, your hair and your clothes, use perfumes and lotions to make you smell nice again!
  6. Take the opportunity to clean the room that you usually smoke in – make that room clean and fresh. Banish the smell of stale smoke!
  7. Steer clear of temptation – avoid places where people smoke – pubs, clubs, social gatherings!
  8. Tell others that stopping smoking is a good thing, they may stop with you – if others are experiencing what you are then you can support each other- the buddy system is always a good idea!
  9. Eat healthy, drink lots of water and do some exercises – get into “healthy mode” – make this a permanent lifestyle change!

often means the difference between a successful diet and another failed attempt at physique enhancement. Skipping breakfast, avoiding postworkout meals and consuming highglycemic carbohydrates before workouts can easily transform a sound meal plan into a disaster. In addition, even the most sensible diets ignore the crucial nature of nutrient timing.

Elevating the metabolic rate is one of the most efficient ways to burn fat. The process of digestion of meals requires calories by itself, so the more often your body must break down food, the more efficient it becomes.Therefore, you should eat small meals throughout the day to maximize your metabolic response—and breakfast is the most important meal of the day, although the postworkout meal may be equally important.Studies have shown that diets that include a large breakfast result in significantly greater fat loss than diets that avoid it. There is something i forgot to say thinking that its normal and there is no need to remind anybody...keep an ideal higiene !Always be clean and tidy .By tidy i dont mean you shirt in the pants and the belt under the chest...This is a tidy guy:

Another thing is charm .People think that charm is something that you are born with .But that is not true,charm comes with a lot of practice ,out speaking with other people,in front of the mirror or how ever, you just need to understand how to make people feel good around you seducing is 10% confidence , 10% outlook ,10% intelligence and 70% charm so you will need to work on that one .The key is to see how people react on things you do,things you say, gestures and mimics .Also look what you find annoying in other people and avoid it.

Fitness:Drinking Raw Eggs

Old school? Yeah! Cool looking? Sure! Effective? Well yes! Recommendable? No! Negative side effects? Yeah! Can you substitute it with something less harmful and with the same/better results? Yes!

This is a FAQ on drinking raw eggs. Did you ask yourself these questions and didn't get the same answer?

Well let me explain:

Old School-Drinking eggs started in more than 100 years ago. And for around 90 years it was prised by many fitness gurus. Even Mr. Universe Arnold Schwarzenegger claimed that drinking huge amounts of eggs daily will make your muscles grow fast and big.

Cool-well after all rocky balboa did it (as you can see from the video), so did Arnold and many other boxers and fitness guys. Whats cooler than that?

Effective-Drinking raw eggs help muscle gain due to its big amounts of protein. Plus they are cheap so its not a problem drinking a few eggs for really high protein gain.

Negative side effects-Drinking raw eggs can cause chills, diarrhea, muscle weakness, dehydration and the worst salmonella. And also if you drink more than 10 eggs daily you can cause biotin deficiency. Symptoms for it are :
  1. brittle finger nails.
  2. thinning hair and/or loss of hair color.
  3. baldness(heard of a guy having random bold spots due to drinking to much raw eggs).
  4. a red, scaly rash around the eyes, nose and mouth.

Can you substitute it with something less harmful and with the same/better effect?
If you really want to stick to eggs you can just start cooking them. Its not true that when cooked they lose the proteins. Some fluids might be lost due to the heat but they still are a good protein source.

In order to build big and strong muscles you will need to achieve a positive protein balance. This means your body will have to make more protein than it will break. Of course, if you make less protein than your body breaks down ( negative protein balance), soon your muscles will become smaller and weaker.

Weight Loss 7 of the most common problems that can ruin your way to success:Problem 7

This is the last one of the series "Weight loss:problems that can ruin your way to success".The last problem is:

I have reached a plateau that I cant pass

First of all you have to check if you are:
  1. 5-6 small meals a day?
  2. Getting enough calories?No less than 15-20% below your current weight calorie ‘maintenance’ level?
  3. Sticking to a good nutrition plan?
  4. Exercising regularly ?
  5. you are weight training?

Check that list and if you are not doing every thing right that thats your problem.You might be overtraining,skiping exercises,starving your self etc.If all is ok than you need a new strategy .
The bad news is that there is no,one 100% working strategy for everybody.Ive heard about many strategies that worked like a charm for one person but had zero effect on another.
One strategy that I came by and it seems that works best is bouncing in the calories.If you are taking 1600 calories a day start taking 1900 for a few days and than instead of coming back to 1600 go to 1300.Give this a chance and see if it works for you.Of course look out for those calories you dont want to get your self starved.

Another strategy is to make your trainings more intense.Shorter but harder.This will make your metabolism faster than a ferrari.

Those 2 are the best methods ive heard for getting pass a plateau.But whatever happens remeber that you dont have to get your self frustrated.This will only hurt you progress even more.Plateau is something that normal.Everybody hits one eventually think of it like a tax season you cant do anything to stop it from coming.

Also if you hit a plateau dont wait it to go away by it self continuing to use you old method.When the time comes it means that you have to change something right away!

Jogging leave the fat in your dust!

The jogging is the most simple way to reduce your weight and break away from your everyday problems.But to do so you have to jog the right way!

Step by step!The first thing that you have to know about jogging is already discussed in this blog and it is the fact that you cant eat a elephant in one bite.Tough your enthusiasm you have to begin slowly.Dont push your body too much cause it may not like it.Instead just expand your mileage step by step maybe 10% every week is good.

Always check your pulse!If you want to burn more calories keep eyes on your pulse.Check that it goes no higher than 60-75% of the maximum(220-you age(no point to lie this time ;) ) ).If it goes lower you are not working hard enough and you will not reach your goals but if it goes higher you risk you own health.Best way to keep track at your pulse is to put your fingers on one of your arteria and dont push hard because it will get slower.Count your pulse for 10 seconds and then multiple it by 6.
  1. Start with fast walking and than go in to running.
  2. the back hase to be straight,the chin should point up and lean the body slightly t forward.
  3. Meet the ground with you heel or with the foot not with your fingers.Fold the elbows approximately in 90 degrees.Move them forward/backward not upward/downward
  4. Breathe calm in the rhythm of the jogging.
  5. If you feel pain in the waste area it means that you dont breathe good enough.Stop jogging and just walk for a while,and breathe deeply from the mouth.

Make it fun!The way to do this is by jogging with friends,having a mp3 player with you,going to different places,participate in contest like jogging.The last one is a great method and i recommend it cause it also brings better results but dont forget not to push your body too much.

Always run in the same day time!Pick a hour and stick to it!Otherwise you will just keep canceling it for later.Of course I think that its not necessary to say that you have to jog every day...!Some people prefer morning,other in lunch break but night..not a good idea who knows what creeps may be hiding in the park.

Never run on asphalt!Before you realize the hard landing will already have injured your foot,knee and even back!Always run in forest roads or park alleys.
Avoid jogging immediately after eating!

For those of you that did not read Water and its effect on human health its very important that you do.The main guidelines are that you have to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day,water can prevent many disease like cancer,bladder stones etc. and water can heal many disease like stomach problems,asthma etc.And a very important are the 3 golden rules of drinking water
  1. Drink twice as much as it takes to quench your thirst.
  2. Drink frequently throughout the day to prevent dehydration.
  3. Drink at least eight glasses daily, or one cup for every 20 pounds of body weight. For example, a 150-pound person who does not exercise or work in hot climates needs 7.5 cups.
So how do I start a water regimen?

Here i will again rely on golden tips this time they are 4 :

Hypnosists ,especially entertainers love to make hypnosis look mystical and like they obtain some kind of special power that normal people dont.Well thats true!Yeah right and im the queen of England.Everybody can hypnotize trust me!

And what exactly is hypnosis if not some kind of magic?

Hypnosis uses the power of WORDS and IDEAS you can create in your subject`s mind. Everybody can deliver words.But the difference between hypnosis and normal conversation is that these words and ideas have to be surrounded with the complete attention of the person.
Actually hypnosis is used everyday and you dont even know you were hypnotized.Think about the sales guy who sold you something you never even used and deep in your mind you knew you were not going to use it but it ended up in your huh?

A quick example of using words and ideas:

A friend once told me a story:

He was sitting in front of his PC and was reading some article.At one moment he started to pay attention to other things.He noticed the contrast of the black letters to the withe sheet,the space between words and the space between the body of the letter i and the dot.He felt his chest going up and down while breathing...Did you do the exact same things?

A good example is also with food if i explain to you how i eat a sour lemon you will fill its taste and your mouth will fill with saliva.There is a law i once read and i think it was like this:
"Whatever you hold in your mind at any given time, your body moves toward that direction. Your body can be directed to move in a physical, mental, emotional or spiritual direction."
Thats something like the law of hypnosis and another law is always to be confident in what you are doing even if you are not very sure and things dont go as planned.If your subject fills confidence in you and your voice he will be a lot easier to hypnotize.

What are enzymes?

In a few posts like Juicy Power and a lot more to come we have spoken about enzymes but never really got in to explaining what exactly are they.Yes i said that they are the base of all life and they structure the body but is that enough? No!to really understand healthier eating,juice drinking etc. we have to go in to details about this "base of all life".

The enzymes actually are the workers in our body.They allow everything`s function by enabling chemical reactions.You can find enzymes in every cell but they are hard to see something tangible.

There are many kinds of enzymes.Some help us breathe others help us fight disease.Eighty percent of our DNA code relates to enzymes. But the kind of enzymes discussed here relate to our digestion and the food we eat.

When digesting, the digestive enzymes in our bodies break down food into tiny parts that the body uses for fuel, growth and repair. In most cases one food takes hundreds of different types of enzymes for the body to digest.

Food is naturally filled with enzymes, called "food enzymes", that help us to digest that food. The problem is that when we cook or process it, we kill those enzymes. Temperatures over 118 degrees will destroy the enzymes. A good example of this is pineapple, which has some very powerful digestive enzymes in it. These enzymes work so well that when added to gelatin (like Jello), the enzymes won't allow the gelatin to thicken. So they only kind of pineapple you can add to gelatin is canned pineapple, which has been cooked and processed so that all the enzymes have been destroyed. It is now safe to add to gelatin, but not as good for the body.

Our body can create enzymes, called digestive enzymes, in the pancreas. But when we eat a diet that is filled with mostly cooked and processed food depleted of enzymes, the pancreas is forced to work much harder than it was meant to, manufacturing the enzymes the body needs to digest these foods.So the pancreas ends up overworking, and the body spends much needed energy and resources on digestion instead of important things like boosting the immune system , growth, repairs in the body and fighting disease. Even worse, if the pancreas becomes so overworked that it shuts down, then bits of undigested food start floating around the body in the bloodstream, causing all kinds of trouble.

The pancreas can be healed in time, with a diet of raw foods filled with enzymes. This same kind of diet, filled with raw fruits, vegetables, seeds and nuts, will keep the pancreas from getting that bad to begin with, and will enable the body to spend it?s energy on more important processes like boosting the immune system and fighting disease.

This is why it is so vital that we eat a diet containing lots of fresh enzyme filled raw foods. Especially in the world we live in today, where we are surrounded by poisons and things that cause cancer. We need these wholesome foods now more than humans ever have in the past, to help our bodies stay disease free and functioning properly.

Binge eating is most commonly associate with eating a huge amount of food on one time,more than you need to fill comfortable,not controlling your eating habits.Its done in secrecy and it is followed by strong guilt and shame.It is caused mostly by emotional problems like depression and stress.

The fresh tomato juice is extremely healthy product.It is a big help to the stomach.But it can have a negative effect if it is canned or limed,or if it is in a mix with concentrate sugars or starch,in this case the tomato juice can cause acid reactions in the stomach.
The tomatoes contain a lot of lemon and apple acids and less oxalic acid.They are very good for the metabolism if they are in organic form.When we lime or cane the tomatoes the acids obtain a non organic form and they harm the organism.But the effect is spotted in time,sometimes gravel and bladder stones are caused from the consumption of canned or limed tomato or in a mix with concentrate sugars or starch.
The fresh uncooked tomato juice is rich on sodium,calcium,potassium and magnesium.
In conclusion if you want to help your self drink it fresh and uncooked if you want to harm somebody(your mother in law maybe?! ;) ) lime it,cane it,mix it with concentrate sugars and starch!
